Environs No. 1
We’re doing a show at the lovely, unique @dadabarnyc! Gathering and connecting music across genres that embraces texture, improvisation, and the environment. Environs is a new series that invites us to an awareness of our own surroundings, and the communities we participate in, as parts of the larger environment of planet earth that is our shared home.

Wolf Robert Stratmann's “Project Natural Sound” is an experimental music project that interweaves natural soundscapes of wild life reservoirs and New York City field recordings with quartet improvisation. @wolfrobertstratmann
Milky Bones is an ambient, lovelorn, post-rock project from Brooklyn based artist Jared Herringer. Elegant sparse melodies combined with peaceful yet emotional textures and tones take the listener on an immersive journey into an ocean of sound. Not unlike the ocean, Milky Bones’ music can draw you in then spit you out. Herringer’s singing and lyrical style make reference to crooners of a forgotten era, giving his music a haunting, delicate beauty @milkybones.bk
Crew Called Self is a NYC based electronic musician who uses various methods of synthesis and sound design to create driving rhythms and melodies with a funky electro and techno leaning aesthetic. A crew of machines with the burden of self. @crewcalledself
Leftpop is the project of composer, improviser, and producer Harrison Adams. His current keyboard work takes the natural world as inspiration, attempting to channel the rhythms of nature into musical forms. Across a decade of performances and recordings, he has interwoven field-recordings, analog synthesis, spoken-word poetry, data sonification, and experimental beats, interrogating ecology, media, and sonic flux. He operates @patterandhum studio as a creative audio project space. @leftpop
